Good System

I had recently purchased a customized version of this system from Fortress. I called them and spoke to Mike, and he set me up with the package I needed. I wound up needing a few more contacts and remotes, and he took a few dollars off his normal price for those and added them into the package. The LCD screen is decent, but the smoke alarm is very cheaply made. It does what it is supposed to do, but beyond that it doesnt have a very attractive appearance. The system comes preprogrammed. Installing the system is very straight forward. The manual sucks, but from what Mike told me they are in the process of re-writing it for the future. I bought the system despite what some of the reviewers said about the reviews being faked because they do seem like genuinely satisfied customers. I myself am decently satisfied with this system, and I've had very minor issues with it so far. Great customer service and a relatively good system.

This alarm system has 6 five star reviews. I checked to see what other products these "reviewers" have reviewed and lo and behold they are all alarms systems sold by this same company. Lame....

I have not purchased this system but evaluating alarms on Amazon.I agree with another reviewer, i have the opinion that many reviews of this system are fake from people like me whom did not purchase the system.If you check like I did all of the comments you see professional Amazon reviewers that probably never make the purchase.They hardly are ever critical of a product providing pros and cons to its purchase.Too bad, this might have been a good system but you cannot tell now because it is saddled with so many questionable reviews by questionable reviewers.In exchange for comments, the sellers should give a system away and have someone install it and comment truthfully. Of course the free system would bias them, even me.I would like to know the maximum capabilities of these systems - how many sensors max can you purchase? etc,I don't see RFID technology on key fobs here that Fortress uses on others. The key fobs here are probably radio frequency (RF) then like most car doors now days.That means they will be more expensive to purchase.
