Don't do it!

Our home was burglarized early in 2009. Our security company upgraded our system and installed this dvr. It is early 2013 and the DVR has stopped working. The hard drive keeps rebooting and the image (when there is one) is pixelating so the video card is also likely shot.Our security company, albeit also a pain to deal with because they have no incentive to help us repair it, quoted a flat $600 to repair it, and of course urged us to buy a new one from them, also with only a 1 year warranty.I am now on hold with Honeywell, for more than 1/2 -hour now, and there was a recording saying that I have to go through a dealer, but we shall see.Bottom line, amazingly short life to this expensive box. (And mind you the price you see now is not the higher price we paid three years ago.)
